for Final Course Grades are calculated for each student in the WebCT
website for this course.
Recall that your professor will "drop" the one, lowest test score for the course and compute the Final Grade based on the total of the three highest test scores. This will give a possibility of 300 points maximum possible. Therefore, the first possibility shown on the WebCT website for a final course grade is the "do nothing" on exam-4 possibility, based only on the total of your first three exams and exam-4 ignored. Also calculated and shown on the WebCT website are the number of points needed on exam-4, if you do do it, to get a final grade of "A," "B," "C," or "D." This would employ the two highest scores from the first three exams plus your exam-4 score. These are calculated automatically and in the same way for all students. For some of you who have higher grades, the calculations to receive "D" and "C" grades will be "nonsense," so ignore them. Some of you will see exam-4 calculations of test scores larger than "100." This means your grades are too low, already, to receive the desired letter grade. The above are calculated on your "percent" exam scores and not the actual number of questions correct. This is necessary because the four exams will not all have the same number of questions. |
