In addition to UI PC labs, which have ArcView 3.2 on the common menu, the Department of Geography maintains an integrated spatial technology lab. The computer equipment in the lab includes UNIX workstations, Pentium PCs running on NT Windows, an ink jet color printer, a thermal color printer, laser printers, digitizers, and desktop scanners. Computer software packages include ArcView 3.2 and ArcInfo 8 for GIS applications, and ERDAS Imagine 8.3.1 and ENVI 3.2 for digital image analysis. Trimble's GeoExplorer 3 system for GPS applications will soon be added to the spatial technology lab.
