Overall Course Objectives

1) To obtain a broad overview of the field of geochemistry and how it overlaps with other geosciences. 
2) To gain an appreciation for the types of problems to which geochemistry can be applied.
3) To develop the ability to solve quantitative problems in geochemistry.

 
Recommended Background Preparation
Prerequisites: Geol 101 or 111; Chem 112
