In my lab space in Gibb
Hall, the research emphasis is vertebrate neurobiology, mainly using
rodents, which are housed in the
Laboratory Animal Research Facility.
Areas of interest include:
-
structure and function of
sensory and motor neurons,
-
synaptic specificity, and
-
development, degeneration and regeneration of neural tissue.
Using light and electron microscopy (Electron
Microscopy Center),
electrophysiology and immunocyto/histochemistry, we hope to develop strategies
and products to recognize and repair damaged nervous tissue.
