CRePE: Bioinformatics Core
Facility
This core facility
provides bioinformatics software,
computing, and training services for
faculty members, postdoctoral scientists
and graduate students at the University
of Idaho who are affiliated with CRePE.
New and existing research that is emerging from
the CRePE programs
requires intensive computing resources
to:
-
develop and test algorithms that explore
and predict the outcomes of evolutionary
processes;
-
construct large DNA and
protein sequence databases;
-
provide sophisticated statistical and
image analysis software.
An existing
facility will be enhanced to provide a powerful server
with extensive software and a database
repository, a supercomputing facility,
and a local instructional lab with
several workstations.

on the Bioinformatics Core, visit the
Bioinformatics Resources website and
the
IBEST website.
